Kyle Flak
I took a rest. And then I didn’t.
A bicycle came into my possession.
It didn’t look at my lean shanks, but
I was reading the news and how could
I know? This is how it is in the city.
I could hold onto a muffin all day
long and never really hold onto it.
A passerby asked me if I owned
a watch and I remembered, then,
how I can trot. How I can trot.
“I am a pony,” I told him. But
I was already far. Near a bridge.
Kyle Flak was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and currently is an M.A. candidate at Northern Michigan University. He's a fan of Dmitri Shostakovich, Eric Dolphy, and Cornelius Hackel.
